Planning a wedding naturally comes with questions. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common queries about Fitzleroi Barn. If you’d like to discuss anything in more detail, our team is always happy to help.
Do you charge corkage? Can we bring our own alcohol?
As a venue we are strongly opposed to corkage and do not allow any of our suppliers to charge corkage. You can bring in as much alcohol as you wish.
Do you offer exclusive-use hire of the venue?
We only ever allow one wedding at a time. You will have exclusive use of all the venue areas and buildings. In addition, you will have full access the day before so you can set up and prepare for your special day in a relaxed and unrushed way.
What is the maximum capacity for the ceremony and reception?
Fitzleroi Barn offers the perfect setting for weddings of any size. The Main Barn and Courtyard each accommodate ceremonies of up to 120 guests, while the Meadow—with its breathtaking South Downs views—also seats up to 120. For more intimate gatherings, the Long Room is ideal for ceremonies of up to 60 guests. Your wedding breakfast can be comfortably hosted for up to 150 guests, with the space styled and arranged exactly as you envision
Are you licensed for civil ceremonies, and which rooms/spaces are approved?
Yes we are. The Main Barn, Long Room, Courtyard or the Meadow.
Do you have recommended suppliers, or can we bring our own?
We understand that every wedding is unique. We therefore have a selection of recommended caterers for you to work with.
Can we accommodate guests with dietary requirements or allergies?
Our recommended caterers are professional and will be happy to help with any dietary requirements or allergies.
Is there on-site accommodation for the wedding party and guests?
On site we have the hayloft which is our bridal and prepping suite. Locally there are many local hotels and pubs. In addition, there are local B&Bs and self catering houses.
What time does the bar close, and can we extend our evening party?
The bar needs to close at 2345 with last orders at 2330. We are not able to allow any extensions to these times.
What time does music need to be turned off?
Music needs to finish by 2345.
Is there parking available for guests, and can coaches access the venue?
We have plenty or hard standing parking and access for coaches/double decker buses is easy.
Can guests leave cars overnight?
Yes, please just let us know when you arrive. We ask for cars to be collected by midday the next day.
What happens if it rains? Are there indoor alternatives for photos and ceremonies?
There is lots of covered areas and ceremonies can be moved inside if needed.
Do you offer wedding coordination or an on-the-day coordinator?
Yes, A member of our small team will be onsite throughout your day and we will do all we can to help with your planning.
Are fireworks, confetti, or candles allowed?
Fireworks are not permitted however flower petal confetti and candles (in bowls not candelabras) are permitted.
What payment schedule and cancellation policy do you offer?
£2000 deposit followed by the final balance four months before the booking date. We are also more than happy to accept payment in instalments.
How easy is it to get a taxi?
We are in a beautiful location in the South Downs National park. We strongly recommend all taxis are pre-booked. Suggested and reliable companies can be found on our website.
How accessible is the venue for a wheel chair user?
The whole venue is accessible for wheel chair users. The venue and accessible toilets are completely step free.
