What do you want couples to feel when they first arrive at Fitzleroi Barn?
I want couples to feel an immediate sense of calm, welcome, and excitement. I want them to know and be confident that every detail of their very special day is cared for by our team so that they can enjoy the day with their loved ones in a stress free environment.
How do you support couples in the lead-up to the day?
I support couples every step of the way with a personal, hands-on approach so they feel confident and cared for leading up to their wedding. I am available by phone and email to answer questions and always keep communications clear. We recommend preferred suppliers who we know and trust. My goal is to make the lead-up feel organised, low stress and joyful so couples can focus on each other.
What do you quietly take care of that often goes unnoticed?
I am here to support all our couples; we will always go above and beyond to make sure their day is magical! A lot of what I do happens behind the scenes, and that's often what helps the day feel effortless for their couples and their guests.
I am constantly keeping an eye on timings, coordinating suppliers as they arrive, and making sure everything is set-up exactly as it should be. It can be the small things like adjusting table settings, checking the ceremony space is perfect, making sure the music is ready, ensuring drinks and canapes are served at the right moment. I tend to spot potential issues before anyone else notices – whether that's a last minute change in weather, a delay with a supplier, or guests needing direction. My priority is always that the couple never have to worry.
If something needs fixing, moving, or managing it's taken care of quietly so that the day continues smoothly and everyone can simply enjoy the celebrations.
How would you describe the way a wedding day unfolds here?
Wedding days here at Fitzleroi unfold in a relaxed and natural way. The venue allows couples to enjoy each part of the day without feeling rushed, from the ceremony through to drinks, dinner and the evening celebrations. It feels personal, intimate and effortless, with space for guests to move and enjoy the countryside views and setting.
What inspired you to open Fitzleroi Barn as a wedding venue?
Fitzleroi has always been a very special place, and I wanted to share it with others in a meaningful way. The inspiration really began when my own wedding became the very first wedding ever held at the Barn in 2000. Seeing how naturally the day flowed in the space, and how beautiful and relaxed the setting felt, made me realise what a unique venue it could be. From that moment, I wanted to create a wedding venue that felt personal, welcoming and full of character – somewhere couples could celebrate in a peaceful countryside setting, surrounded by the people they love most.
